This is yet another use case for using Google+ Hangout. Forget about the streams (Google's equivalent of the Wall) which at times seems as laborious as checking your inbox. If there was only one thing or feature about Google+ that outshines the other social networks is the ease of using group video chat. This Week In Photography (TWIP) hosted by Frederick Van Johnson involved an interviewed Trey Ratcliff, one of the most humbling human beings you could ever meet and a great photographer. One of the things I would like to do is create a weekly or monthly Hangout with individuals completing their dissertation. Basically, a dissertation group where PhD candidates can share their pitfalls or successes, brainstorm concepts or just talk about the process. Going through the dissertation process can be a lonely road. If anyone is interested in joining me, please email me, or reply to this post.
